This dressing gown / evening gown / nightgown could be worn as an evening dress because it looks almost identical to a Halston evening gown as well as another Lucie Ann dressing gown that I owned and sold in the past. (Shown in the last photo is the Lucie Ann dressing gown that has already been sold several years ago but it is the same beautiful design except the red one has the gorgeous sparkling rhinestone clasp .)
The color is a luscious shade of red and the draping is superb - plunging neckline for a dramatic flair - there is a heavy double sparkling rhinestont silver-tone clasp that connects under the bustline as well as a slide hook under that to keep it secure. There is very springy elastic inside which extends from the clip area & continues around to the back so the back of the gown “floats” freely. Huge batwing sleeves shown in one photo with all the fabric which falls into beautiful folds. The silky jersey-like fabric falls gracefully into oval draping on the front & sides. On the inside facing on the inside of the gown there is a"Lucie Ann" tag in black & white
Just an absolutely stunning vintage Grecian Goddess dressing gown / evening gown by Lucie Ann perfect for entertaining or an evening out on the town.
By: Lucie Ann - Beverly Hills
Size: No tag but I wear a size 10 & because of all of the amount of fabric and the draping, it will fit a bit larger size as well as a smaller size but go by the measurements for a good fit
Bust: Very hard to measure because of the way the sleeves were cut but appx 42" but do not stretch to the maximum as it will not drape correctly
Length: 55-1/2 so one can wear their vintage bedroom mules with it
Fabric: Silky poly fluid jersey-like fabric
Care: Hand wash or machine wash. I would hand wash and drip dry after removing the rhinestone clasp. I would not get the rhinestones wet as they might possibly loosen and come out.
Condition: Very good - a tiny 1/4" dark line of soiling at appx. the waist which no one would ever notice as they fall into the folds of the draping and I nearly did not see it until I was closely examining the gown. One triple pinhead spot on back with another smaller one. Could be a few others but all of the ones that I mention will probably come out in a wash. One side of the clasp needs a few stitches to secure to the fabric as it has come loose. Easy fix.
Care Instructions
We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.
Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.
Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.
Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
